According to Phil, winter is nearly over. The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous the last few days; I can’t remember the last time it rained. And winter quarter is half over today. Before I know it, the cherries will be blooming in the Quad.
This is the time of year when I start craving new colors — just take a look at the fabrics I bought last weekend. My favorite color combination this spring is yellow and gray, with maybe a splash of pale blue. It’s the perfect palette for early spring — like daffodils and cloudy skies. I’m seeing it everywhere right now:
I was so excited to see Lotus, Amy Butler’s new collection. The colors are just right for spring. Thankfully, Daniel made me a little homemade gift certificate for some Amy Butler fabric for my birthday.
I’m also a little infatuated with a few of the fabrics in Denyse Schmidt’s Flea Market Fancy line. I’m sneaking some of the gray floral into my Amy Butler birthday package, too.
And look at all of this lovely stuff from Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. How sweet is that chair? And the bedding, and the curtains? But I’m getting ahead of myself here. I’m going to get the cuckoo clock, I think. I can afford that. And the rest will have to wait.
